Job Description:
As a Kubernetes (K8s) Engineer at Al Nafi, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications in a cloud environment. This position is especially suited for graduates of the AL NAFI AI-Ops Diploma program and those who have completed at least 50% of the Al Razzak requirements, specifically the full Kubernetes portions. We highly prefer candidates with this specialized training, as it directly aligns with our needs and will position you for continued growth in the field. You will work closely with the DevOps, SysOps, AI, and various other teams to ensure our applications are highly available, scalable, and secure, contributing to innovative projects that will shape the future of technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Implementation: Build and manage Kubernetes clusters on AWS to ensure scalability, reliability, and security, applying best practices from the AI-Ops program and Al Razzak training.
Optimization and Management: Oversee and optimize Amazon EKS environments, including scaling, upgrades, and troubleshooting, leveraging skills developed through Al Nafi’s training programs.
Container Management: Deploy and maintain Docker-based containerized applications, ensuring optimal container management aligned with industry standards.
AWS Integration: Integrate and manage AWS services such as ECR for container image storage and distribution.
CI/CD Pipelines: Collaborate with development teams to build CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, ensuring automated deployments follow best practices learned in the AI-Ops and Al Razzak programs.
Monitoring and Logging: Utilize monitoring and logging tools to maintain the health of Kubernetes clusters, using knowledge from hands-on labs to optimize performance.
Infrastructure Automation: Automate infrastructure tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools, as practiced in Al Nafi’s programs.
Security and Compliance: Implement cloud infrastructure and application security best practices, drawing on your education in AI-Ops and Al Razzak.
Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve issues related to Kubernetes, AWS infrastructure, and application performance.
Documentation and Training: Develop comprehensive documentation and best practices for Kubernetes cluster management, and provide training to team members as needed.
Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps, SysOps, AI, and various other teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of applications across the cloud environment.
Requirements:
Graduation from the AL NAFI AI-Ops Diploma program. Or applicable Undergraduate degree.
Completion of at least 50% of the Al Razzak requirements, with a focus on the Kubernetes portions. Completion of all Al Razzak requirements is highly preferred.
Proven experience as a Kubernetes Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or in a similar role.
Strong expertise in Kubernetes (K8s) and container orchestration.
Hands-on experience with AWS services, especially EKS, ECR, and EC2.
Proficiency in Docker and container management.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub or similar tools.
Solid understanding of cloud architecture and best practices.
Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Knowledge of security best practices for cloud infrastructure and containerized applications.
Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as ELK stack, Datadog, or Splunk.
